If you are looking for a hotel with a passion for customer service, comfy guest areas, great food and a kind of.. Home from home... then stay here at the Glenesk Hotel. I found this little gem when I had no luck getting into Aberdeen and I'm glad I didn't now as I'd never had found this hotel... The public areas are quiet, cosy and reminds me of sitting in my own living room at home, it was a real pleasure.. I found the food at the Glenesk top notch, lots of variety as I'm wheat intolerant, great service.. Thank you Glenesk.. I shall be back!

We enjoyed spending the weekend in this lovely Victorian hotel. The rooms were comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful. The food was first class. We were able to have our dog with us. The village of Edzell is beautiful, with very easy links to the A 90,Aberdeen /Dundee road. This is a three star graded hotel, presumably because the decor needs updating, but the level of service is five star plus.

Highly Recommend for Families!
The food, ah it was just divine, especially that beef Wellington, it was a good surprise, like finding a hidden stash. The owner's hospitality, he even gave my kid a free ice cream for dessert! That's how you.
Sure, it wasn't the cheapest stay but it's acceptable, trust me.

Loved how fully equipped and top-class the property was and its thoughtful staff at to the Receptionist. Our room was pet-friendly and nicely furnished. The location was perfect and excellent: a local store and shops where within walking distance.

The hotel was excellent. I stayed there with a group of friends and two dogs. The service was great and staff were very helpful. Food was exceptionally good, we had it served in a private room ( thanks to the dogs) this was an added bonus. The spa facilities were very good, lovely indoor pool. Public rooms in the hotel were exceptional, very nice cornice work, it was a pleasure to use them. We are all looking forward to going back in the near future.

We enjoyed exploring the local area, especially the River Esk and some fantastic hiking trails. The food was great, fresh, and the staff was super accommodating. We really appreciated how clean everything was and the well-stocked bar added to our experience.
One downside was that the water pressure in our room could definitely be improved, a little annoying during showers.
